A new tradition takes shape

TCI secured its first member in 2006, when Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies moved from San Diego. Their new headquarters were permitted and built in just 18 months.

Soon after, in 2008, the Oregon Health and Science University established a Florida presence for their Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute at TCI. In total, TCI is home to more than 100,000 square feet of lab facilities, with another 100,000 square feet under construction.

Still to come

The Mann Research Center plans to build more than 400,000 square feet of life science, medical office and healthcare facilities. Martin Memorial Health Systems also plans to build an 80-bed hospital, including a suite for clinical trials.

TCI has more than 2 million square feet of entitlements approved and ready to build on. By 2030, it is expected to support 9000 jobs.
