Florida Atlantic University was the first in America to be built specifically for upper-division and graduate students. It offers 28,000 students more than 170 degree programs across seven campuses and sustains more than 40 research centers. The university has a growing reputation for its research in biomedicine, biotechnology and oceanography.
Its Port St. Lucie campus offers upper-division degree programs in nursing, education, computer science and geomatics engineering. Their world-renowned Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute is also located in nearby Fort Pierce.
